I collected them for Arantir, in the last mission of the Necropolis campaign, before storming the castle with demons under Orlando's command.

Actually, I expected a more epic battle. In the tavern, I read that demons had placed a large army in ambush near Holyflame. Those liars, there was no ambush. But the army still came in handy, as Arantir wasn't very well-developed, I was developing Lady Orel instead, I didn't know that she would die in the final mission according to the plot.
