What are the most dangerous unit combinations in Dungeon?

What do you think... is it effective to take a Warlock with Logistics and use it to surprise attack enemy units, like striking, then using the surprise attack on the ranged units, and then attacking again? Although, Hydras or simply attacking the enemy with Chaos magic might be more effective here.
