I like Markel the most; he pulled off a clever scheme in the Griffin Empire. He tempted Isabel with love for her husband (his resurrection), just as the Serpent tempted Eve. This was even mentioned in his biography: he was involved in diplomatic relations and fraud. And his scheme went well; he even managed to seize power.
