Why Chaos against Mages? They have a mirror spell, which is dangerous. And relying on Alt-Druids isn't a great idea either; it's better for them to attack someone or use Stone Skin. But Mana Drain is a powerful ability!
P.S. It's better to take Light Magic. IMHO.

Taking Chaos and leveling up Chaos are different things. I was talking about Mana Drain – an ability that becomes available through Chaos.
It's probably worth emphasizing again that if you take it, it should only be on the first 4 levels. If you take it later, you probably won't have time to level up Mana Drain. And against neutrals – they don't have a mirror spell anyway))) A simple Chaos spell, like Ice Bolt, will help.
