Personally, I think that the Necropolis faction was weakened by the latest patch. However, playing as them has become much more interesting as a result. And now, as far as I can tell, there is no clear advantage for any of the factions. You can endlessly list the strengths and weaknesses of each faction, but they are all balanced.
