Armageddon's Magic – it really shocked me.

...and the question arose - why did they make it like this? What was the point of creating such a crazy art style?

It's a normal art style, actually. If you understand how it works, you can use it to your advantage... The only problem is that it wasn't fully programmed, it's a bit buggy, but there's nothing you can do about it now. Let's consider these bugs as features... :)
