Armageddon's Blade is a beast of an artifact; it's better to play without it, it will be more interesting.

To crush your opponent with Armageddon, you don't necessarily need the blade. It's enough to build a guild up to level 4 and grab a unit (or units) that are immune to magic in general or fire magic in particular. This technique is quite often used, which the above case confirms.
