PRAYER
I am punished by You, Lord,
for I am a sinner.
Not crucified in a screaming square,
not hanged,
not wandering with a bag and a staff,
my legs, arms, and eyes are whole.
But You know other ways
to punish.
I am killed by the daily autumn,
from which I have gone mad,
I am punished by late love,
hopeless, like winter.
I accept Your judgment, Lord,
with humility, not complaining.
I have no pride left,
do not forgive me,
do not forgive…
A QUESTION TO MYSELF
Why did I take this burden upon myself?
Why am I carrying this cross?
I remember the bitterness of loss,
and the weight of loss…

As we approach the last farm,
our life turns into a clinic:
the menu is on the computer screen,
and a love affair is through a mobile phone :)
