Mini-tournament "Time of Change"

1) The save file is corrupted. WinRAR keeps giving me errors and won't open it. 2) I died four times in a row from a "basilisk" that emerged from the bushes. Is this supposed to happen? It seems like it's constantly getting lucky and taking two turns in a row.
