Football!

Here is a tentative schedule of the Russian national team's qualifying matches for the 2010 World Cup, but it may still change depending on the circumstances. September 10, 2008: Russia vs. Wales (Our team should easily confirm that we are no longer afraid of the British). October 11, 2008: Germany vs. Russia (This will be a tough match. We need to make sure that we don't get completely outplayed, but remembering the recent game between the two teams that ended in a 2-2 draw gives us some hope). October 15, 2008: Russia vs. Finland (We should win without any problems. Mid-autumn is usually when our players are in top form). March 28, 2009: Russia vs. Azerbaijan (This will be a difficult game... the players will still be getting into the season). April 1, 2009: Liechtenstein vs. Russia (This will truly be a day of laughter). June 10, 2009: Finland vs. Russia (This will be a tough match). September 5, 2009: Russia vs. Liechtenstein (The Empire strikes back). September 9, 2009: Wales vs. Russia (Will they bring Evseev back for this match?). October 10, 2009: Russia vs. Germany (This will be a tough match. We can't expect to win 2-1, like we did against England... the Germans are much stronger than both us and the English). October 14, 2009: Azerbaijan vs. Russia (We'll have our last watermelons here). And now, we must qualify for the World Cup. If we do, we can even finish in first place, but no one will carry us there on their backs anymore...
