Which Castle do you prefer to play as?

GagaBings, diplomacy isn't a cheat; it's a great and useful skill. The whole point is that it's not particularly needed later on; its real value is at the beginning of the game, and it's much less effective afterward. Why would it be a cheat?
Honestly, I don't understand what you mean by "Rocks, scissors, and paper." Please explain in more detail. What are you trying to say with that?
