I see it like this. A world in which a strong mental component coexists with the physical, i.e., magic (Ashan or something else, it doesn't really matter). Religion opposes magic (roughly, like in Perumov's "The Mage"). There is also a division into several races and subraces. Races: humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, undead, demons. Subraces are part of the main races, such as: kobolds, ogres, elves, etc. Naturally, the main conflict is between Order and Chaos, i.e., humans, dwarves, elves (forest and night elves), orcs against Inferno (Chaos). The undead are somewhat separate, but act for their own benefit. Initially, all races live separately, without engaging in conflicts (except for minor border skirmishes). But gradually, the Lord of Hell finds it too crowded there, and the usual hatred for the living begins to take hold. Realizing that he cannot immediately bring all the accumulated legions to the surface (I suggest introducing some kind of limitation, let's say the air on the surface is harmful, gravity, or finally, starlight – something can be found), he decides to enlist the help of renegades from each race, promising humans power, dwarves gold, elves adventure, etc.
To this end, spies, cunning seducers – demons capable of changing their appearance like Biara – are sent to the territory of each of the kingdoms, empires (it doesn't really matter).
Gradually, such traitors are found, and in the territory of each of the races, initially dissatisfied, and then dreaming of separation, barons, counts, dukes (underline the appropriate one) appear, i.e., the usual medieval squabbling takes place, and the mages and sorcerers of each of the races are offered omnipotence, immortality, secret knowledge, artifacts, etc. by the Lord of Hell. Gradually, detachments and then armies of demons accumulate in the rebellious territories. But for complete victory, in addition to the invasion army, four or more artifacts are needed, each of which is located (one each) with the rulers of each race or, let's say, with some Supreme Mages of each of the races (something like the Rings of Power in Tolkien). After the demons manage to steal one of the artifacts, the mages are forced to reveal to the heroes of each of the races the importance of these artifacts. Presumably, these heroes should be ordinary representatives of each of the races (from peasants to furies), so that during their journey, these heroes must destroy these artifacts under certain conditions.
These heroes from each of the races begin their journeys separately from each other, not knowing about each other, and gradually, meeting at some points on the route, begin their journey together.
I think this is a good plot.
But if anyone, colleagues, thinks that it is too contrived, suggest your own options.

As my experience shows, even very literate people, who reread their posts at least three times, still make mistakes – they miss a letter in a word or a comma, use words in the wrong case, and so on. I can offer my help in correcting such bugs – after all, I work as an editor and have some experience:)
Whether I will write or not, I don't know, I'm not sure. I don't have Skype... but something tells me that you haven't advanced that far yet – if you are interested, reply. If not, it's my job to offer...
Sincerely, Simas
