Playing against the computer isn't that difficult in principle, because humans invented computers, and they will never surpass them.
Well, you just refuted your own words. If you're playing as the Dwarves against the AI, which is playing as the Elves, and you're winning... then it's pointless to draw premature conclusions, because the AI is indeed a weak opponent. It's meaningless to conclude who is stronger, the Dwarves or the Elves, until you play against a human player of roughly the same skill level as you!
