These problems have been around for a long time, and more than one topic has been created to discuss this issue. 2 Starhan, what you highlighted, well, I didn't say that it was some kind of problem. I didn't even make it a priority. With my post, I wanted to draw the attention of all users to what exactly the work of moderators consists of, so that people who want to work would become moderators, and not just pursue their own interests. And also, first of all, to the fact that, unfortunately, on our forum, all topics with discussions of any IMPORTANT and real problem concerning the forum itself remain just discussions! And I cited the topic of voting and selecting new moderators as an example. Question to Hacker: Did the creator even learn anything about this topic, or was it simply closed? If he knew, then it's even stranger why there was no reaction. If he didn't like this list, he could have at least explained it somehow. Hacker, we are all waiting for an answer to this question. I understand that a lot of time has passed. But I would like some clarification on this matter. And here's another question. Take a close look at the list of moderators: many haven't been on the forum for six months. And those who occasionally drop by, presumably just to see what's new, are completely inactive. For example: Ёжик в тумане - moderator for Heroes 5, and the "flud" section (as written in the list of moderators) - he was here just today. And so what? Where is his work? Besides Inquisitor, no one moderates Heroes 5! And the "flud" section has turned into a garbage dump (sorry, but there aren't that many really worthwhile topics). So, the question is, why don't those who haven't been working for a long time write a letter to the Creator asking to remove their candidacy? Maybe then he will see the real state of affairs on the forum when we are left with only Pandora, Inquisitor, and moderators for tournaments. I understand that this is a question in the void: these people haven't even come close to seeing this topic - because they don't care about the forum anymore. This is just something to think about. The only person who asked to be removed from moderation was Night (I know this from a personal conversation with him), but his request was somehow not granted, even though he sent a letter! Maybe our coordinators can ask the Creator on behalf of the community to clarify the issue of resolving these problems? And send a letter to those moderators who are inactive, asking them to explain their inactivity. By the way, there is such a clause in the moderator rules:

In case of inactivity of the moderator for more than 2 months and the presence of visible activity of this moderator during his previous activity, the actions described below are carried out. In the absence of visible activity of this moderator during his previous activity, the moderator is removed from office without notice. A personal message is sent with a request to explain the situation and a notification of the presence of this personal message in the email. In case of no response within 1 week from the date of sending the message, a repeated letter is written in personal messages and to e-mail, where it is informed that in case of no response within 6 days, the user will lose moderator rights. In case of no response within a week, the user loses moderator rights.

Only in practice, it turns out that this clause is not being fulfilled. Here is something to think about...
