The Crystal of Secrecy is the most useful spell at the beginning of the game against archers, considering that its dispel effect is higher level. It's great to use with humans (you place the crystal where there are a lot of troops, and then the archer shoots over them – it's especially useful if there are fewer archers than you'd like :smile08:);
mages with Fireball also get an additional damage bonus; and also, but this happens less often, you can position the crystal so that a dragon attacks it as a secondary target). The crystal is especially useful because there is no immunity against it; even black dragons suffer.
And Divine Retribution and Hive helped me complete the last mission against Biara. 8 hives held the troops as best they could; the battle lasted 30 minutes, or even longer. And then, the Sign of the Wizard on one of the two most sinful (devils), and Divine Retribution. Hooray, Biara is defeated :smile15:.
