I don't think so. If I'm a mage of moderate power, I'll cast various spells on them, drain their strength, and so on, and the archers will take them out. I never recruit Crusaders myself.
Double strike isn't that bad, and the enemy's army will definitely have more than just Crusaders. Archers can't keep taking them out indefinitely – unless they're Medusas, of course. The Knights are tough; they'll eventually get through...
In principle, that's why I like archers – they can easily deal damage from a distance. Honestly, it's hard to defend Crusaders because my choice is Monks. :)
If I go for Chaos, I'll chop them up with Gargantuars, Hydras, or Cyclops.
But what if you go for Chaos with Order? (just in case?) And you don't always find Gargantuars on the map. :)
That's what I'm talking about. Ogres will be pelted with stones, and then the Cyclops will approach. It's always best to test things in practice.
Hmm... will 50 Cyclops take out 100 Ogres? (I think it's better to compare growth rate to growth rate – that's more objective, in my opinion, and closer to the real situation.) But if it's 50 against 50, then yes, the Cyclops definitely win. :) By the way, I'll be at my grandmother's now (no internet :smile05:), so I'll test it out. ;)

I don't think so – they don't fly, they don't heal by draining others, plus poison, etc. The only bonus is that you can't affect them with Holy Word.
But with this spell, I used to take out entire undead Fortresses while they were hiding behind the fence.
Hmm, I apologize. :o But Goblins have magical protection and stone skin – you have to admit, that's not bad. And they have more health. :)
Yeah, Holy Word is a powerful thing. :) And against the living, you can use Plague or Poison (by the way, I'm currently playing through a campaign with Alita – Plague is really helpful. :) )
Oh, she has a hard time with all the Factions, and she changes avatars.
All her avatars are beautiful, IMO. ;) And I think she plays well with all the Factions. :smile42:
