Treants should generally be used to make one move, covering half the map or even less. An unsuspecting enemy is always tempted by such an offer, especially if they cannot immediately reach other units. In this way, they have often held back up to 4 enemies, but this is not a problem, as there are always archers, druids, dryads, or, in a pinch, unicorns (it's best to keep them near the archers, as well as dancers) that can help the treants. And the chaos on the enemy side can be further amplified by dragons.
