But you can also use a bit more variety: :) :D :smile40: :smile52: :smile44:

This is more emotional. It shows:

First, something made you smile.
Then, you understood it completely.
Then, you laughed hysterically.
When you fell, you rolled around on the floor laughing and choked on your own teeth.
Then, from hyper-euphoric joy, you danced around.

Whereas in the first case, you're just having fun. It doesn't express emotions as well.
