I haven't participated in clan wars, but I was told that's how it works.

As I understand it, each participant bans 5 heroes and 5 other heroes during the battle, right?

Here's how it works: 1 player agrees with another player, and before the game, they ban 10 heroes from each other (it's best to do this through a third party by writing down the heroes you want to ban, so that the opponent doesn't know which hero to choose against them).
