My IMHO, developing 2 magic schools is inefficient. You don't move around often enough to fully utilize them. It's better to concentrate on one and develop the hero comprehensively, in accordance with your game plan, based on the magic school:
* Dwarves - Chaos
* Humans and Sylvan - Light
* Elves - Chaos, or Dark, or Summoning
* For Mages - enjoy the first magic, and then take another magic for super abilities!
* For Necromancers - Dark or Summoning, depending on the hero
* For Demons - Chaos.

And Barbarians should only communicate with a mentor! By the way, why do they need witchcraft?
