Just take tentacles.

I still haven't been able to figure out how tentacles compensate for injuries. I can imagine running on tentacles instead of broken or missing legs. Ugliness is already harder... Is it like, "Yes, I'm ugly. But look at my beautiful tentacles! Therefore, I am beautiful too!"? As for how tentacles compensate for, say, stupidity or speech problems, my lizard brain simply refuses to understand...
