As it happened, all four times my fire Knight defeated own electric Knight Artz.

I forgot to mention that the duel took place immediately after the boss fight without HP restoration and considering that I had a melee fighter, I was doing most of the tanking, which is why I was left with a small amount of those very HPs)
PS yes, the final boss is crap. Overall it's okay for one playthrough, but it would have been better in a group of four.
