If you choose materialization, then it will be considered separately; if rebirth, then the old skills will be gone. Plus, a non-Knight will be weaker than a Knight.

maybe allow rebirth to have at least one old skill in a nerfed form? (I just have some ideas...)
otherwise it turns out that materialization can override any conviction depending on skills and balance, while rebirth is simply like a Knight with fragmented memory, and essentially without the conviction bonus too
