Barbarians and the Rampart are good in Heroes 3 because:
1. They move quickly (especially the Death Knight and the Barbarian).
2. They are built quickly and are quite cheap.
3. They have decent creatures in good numbers!
In my opinion, these are the advantages of the Barbarians, not the Rampart...
Quickly built creatures are a big advantage, but what about the Rampart?
