The girl was tired from the journey and simply wanted to get a feel for the new place. During the general conversation, nothing particularly interesting seemed to be happening, so when Volki went for a walk, Ida planned to follow suit. But apparently, the formalities weren't over yet, so she decided to stay with the others and head to the board only after the exchange of greetings and pleasantries had concluded.
