The gathering of future expedition members continued.
"Master Uthar died not far from the settlement of the suffering ones," whispered Bookkeeper 9 to Aristarchus. "Only Lady Mahra, her student Ida, and deputy Corvis survived."
Lerad Frost felt Tsulak's contempt and shook his fist threateningly at the proud warrior. In physique, the first sage was in no way inferior to the warriors, although he had long entered old age.
Meanwhile, the Augur beckoned Ida closer.
"Lady Mahra has told us about the sufferings you have endured. The Clan of Scholars values your faithful service and desire for knowledge," said the Augur, extending an intricate badge. "Therefore, I name you, Ida, a novice! Wear this symbol with pride! Go forward with a calm heart and remember – we expect great things from you."
"Well deserved," Mahra embraced Ida. "Master Uthar is no longer with us. From now on, I am your only teacher. Together, we will be able to uncover the conspiracy of the chthonic forest and save the Clan of Scholars from inevitable doom."
Ida receives 400 experience points for completing the quest.
Ida reaches the rank of Novice (+2 to Intelligence and Dexterity).
"Hurata-Rekreta... the conspiracy of Hurata-Rekreta..." Ida muttered thoughtfully under her breath, not thinking about whether anyone heard her or not.
Here, by the way, is an important question. Astral, can Ida talk about what she saw? Both in the forest and in the vision afterwards. I'm not talking about whether they will believe her or not. But about whether there is some kind of limitation on her that she herself does not understand.
