A large, strong warrior cast a condescending glance at Ida.
"Where did you end up? This is a settlement of fighters! Nowhere else do they know how to build like this!" the man in fashionable furs gestured towards the columns in the hall. "My name is Medvedson, warrior. And I found you in the snow near the gates."
Somewhere in a neighboring hall, nameless brothers and sisters of Zai wandered around. There were no named individuals among them.
She had many questions swirling in her head. Was what she saw before waking up a dream or reality? If it was a dream, how did she survive? And most importantly, HOW did she end up in a settlement of fighters when she was in the Northern Forest?
“My name is Ida,” the girl said, finding the strength within herself. “I am from a settlement of Connoisseurs. And I don’t even know where to begin…”
The girl tried to briefly explain things to Medvedson. She told him that she studies alchemy and how, together with Makhra and Utar, she went to the Strife faction. She also told him about how, during their exploration, she, along with warriors from the Connoisseurs, swordsmen from the Strife faction, and Lord Corvis, encountered an unequal battle against creatures from the chthonic forest: Needleclaws and Rat Ogres. The girl preferred to omit details about the unpleasant incident with Utar and Makhra in the Dungeon, her adventures in the Strife settlement, and the strange vision after being struck by cursed flowers. Ida only told Medvedson what he really needed to know.
“First, these creatures easily defeated the valiant warriors, then they dealt with Makhra and Master Utar. They wounded Corvis, but he seems to have managed to escape south. I can't say for sure; these creatures grabbed me and attacked faster than I could try to catch up with him. I still don't understand how or why I'm still alive.”
The girl barely held back tears. She wanted the warrior who had taken her in to be able to understand everything she was saying because it was important. And then Ida realized:
“Oh my god, Lord Corvis! He definitely needs to be saved!”
