Hello, heroes!
We are excited to present a fresh update that focuses on balancing faction mechanics, fixing vulnerabilities, and improving gameplay convenience. Based on your feedback and collected statistics, we have prepared a number of major changes that will noticeably refresh the current meta.
Highlights of this patch:
Necromancy. We have completely reworked the algorithm for converting creatures into undead after battle. Now you no longer need to have creatures of the corresponding tier in your army to convert fallen enemies after a victory. Along with this, the energy cost of resurrection has changed significantly, and the interface now includes convenient visual hints and the option to cancel the summon in exchange for necrotic energy right in the battle results window.
Other faction skills. Changes affect "Communion with the Abyss" for Schism (the effect now applies not only to Schism creatures), as well as the larva mechanic for Hive, whose focus has shifted toward their explosive potential.
Battle Magic and Avatar Summoning. After the recent nerf to warriors, mages have significantly strengthened their position, so we are returning the base values of "Battle Magic" to their original numbers. The hotly debated "Avatar Summoning" skill has also received changes — the base version is weakened, but you will have more opportunities for situational avatar enhancement through sub-skills.
Tournament templates. New competitive templates have been added to the random map generator — Jebus Tournament and Outcast Tournament with uninterrupted simultaneous turns, as well as hybrid templates Mix and Galaxy.
Template rotation. The map pool for the classic mode and single-hero mode has been updated, and the order of faction selection and bans by players has also changed slightly.
Bug fixes. Among other things, we eliminated a vulnerability that allowed Temple players to obtain infinite resources on the adventure map, fixed incorrect damage from the alternative attack of dragons, and resolved issues with loading network saves.
⚠️ Reminder: intentionally using in-game bugs in competitive play may result in a temporary or permanent ban from multiplayer access! By doing so, you may violate the rules of the platform you are playing on, and thus risk being blocked on that platform itself. Do not put your account at risk for a dubious advantage — play fair! ⚠️
