Dorian’s maul is being nerfed by a character – an archer/mage – with the Ring of Arandor. Is this a powerful artifact? Yes. Did the player end up with an overpowered character? Yes, but not just because of the maul. You can go back a few pages and you didn't like that players don't have overpowered characters who can dominate everyone.
