I completed it without using Elves. The last mission in this campaign is poorly designed, although it's original.
The third mission in the campaign with Gorinich cannot be completed - the scripts fail again, in particular, the archmage doesn't teleport me over the wall. What a bummer :(
So, it's unlikely that it's just the two of us being silly.
Damn, I feel like giving up.
