Forrest said something very insightful about necromancers and vampires in one of the topics in the tactics section.
But nevertheless, Mr. Forrest, like other TE players, plays with the vampire upgrade.
Vampire Lords are truly mega-cool! It's a pleasure to use them to open up utopias and strongholds!
Shakti and Galtran also open up strongholds quite well, and they can do it on the first game day, while vampires can only do it on day 121. Should we ban Galtran and Shakti? It's also a pleasure to use them to open up strongholds, and while you're taking strongholds with vampires on day 121, Shakti is already killing you with angels on day 121.
My humble IMHO: their upgrade should be banned, just like the phoenix upgrade in Conflux.
There is no need to confuse the sinful with the righteous. And comparing vampires to phoenixes is not entirely correct.
I AM in favor of banning necromancy as a skill, but I am STRONGLY AGAINST banning the vampire upgrade.
