A question for experienced players: what is this, how does it work, and should I trust it? Dx9 > Vulkan

Anyway, thanks to everyone for the answers. Now I understand what it is. I spent some more time researching "dxvk," and basically, you were right. It's not very useful and might only be helpful in rare, specific situations. Also, as I understand it, this is actually a file for Linux. On Windows 10, it works poorly and very often causes a white/black screen when alt-tabbing (as Harold mentioned above). But if you play without minimizing, it can be useful. But I clearly don't need it. Thanks again for the explanation.
