A question for experienced players: what is this, how does it work, and should I trust it? Dx9 > Vulkan

I tried installing dxvk just for fun. It runs old games on Vulkan. The biggest downside is that minimizing the game window causes it to freeze. It just becomes a white window.
On the plus side, the picture becomes smoother without any configuration, but at the same time, my head started to ache when the camera moved in the city due to a slight flickering of objects in the frame.
In the end, I tinkered with the video card settings (Nvidia) and achieved better results, as it seemed to me (LAA is already enabled).
