Well, are there any remaining questions? Astral can only craft the carts with iron and wood; ore is only found in the mineral springs. So, it will probably be necessary to return anyway and go through the bridge again, where the wood grows, if we consider that scenario.
Unless we can find wood somewhere else, but that's unlikely. Also, it's not entirely clear when the activities refresh. Maybe there will be some kind of skip after they are completed, or maybe not.
But the carts on the main map will definitely be useful.
