What is more important: luck or fighting spirit?

I've experienced negative luck in practice, and it happened repeatedly in all parts of the game. It's just as annoying as anti-leadership (when it affects you). Although... with anti-luck, you can at least deal some damage, but with anti-leadership, you just waste your turn without any effect.
