We've lived to see the expansion pack get ruined... Before, any character could spend 10 coins to level up using a diary, but now only characters with a specific background can do that...

Is this when the GM let one jerk of a player read a 2000-page tome to get 15+ stats, and that player seriously started doing it? And then "supernatural, otherworldly, and depressing" decided that it's better to "cut it down"?
