The character reached the 8th level and, convinced that nothing happened to him there, continued on, accepted what had been given to him before, and, finally, stepping onto the last level, rolled his eyes at the sky granite ceiling and mentally addressed the Universe with a question: is there a "temple of knowledge" in this underground world, similar to the library of Siske, unknown to this character, from which the "knowledge gatherers" could draw this very knowledge, or do they obtain it from some other sources (what exactly?).
