Well, since HeroesWorld is done for (as is the internet in Slavo-bastardia and, it seems, soon everywhere), I feel like speaking out on such a sad and mournful occasion. I'm not much of a writer, of course, but here it is.
Gentlemen, it was an honor to sit on this wonderful forum alongside you.
No regrets, as they say, but if there was anything I regretted, it certainly wouldn't be the time spent here. It's no exaggeration to say that the forum was a substantial part of my life and subsequent existence. I believe it would have only been worse without it. An acquaintance of mine who knows about this place is kindly envious that I have such an online company. The time spent here brought many emotions, mostly positive and pleasant. The spam, inside memes, mafia games, interesting people, and of course the RPG sessions. All of this left such a strong imprint on me that it essentially became part of my personality. Especially the RPGs. Yes, despite the endless jabbering, dissatisfaction, frustration, and so on, this BDSM circle was perhaps the best part of forum fun. No BDSM alt-girl can provide such a range of emotions (I'm not a lifer). I want to express sincere gratitude to all the GMs. But especially to Revenant. Even though I don't share your vision of what an RPG should be and often rage, I greatly appreciate and respect the work you've done. It's clear you poured your soul into the difficult work of being a GM. I'd also like to thank Alex for the last RPG. Too bad we didn't finish it, but that's a standard, expected situation. Nevertheless, the game turned out great. It had the spirit of the early RPGs — simple, not overly complicated, but full of fun, adventure, and that elusive, inexplicable ATMOSPHERE.
I also want to say that running RPGs gave me particular pleasure) Perhaps even more than playing. Unfortunately, I only managed to finish two. As for the rest, as usual: the surrounding reality allows me to run one — my mental state does not; my mental state allows me to run one — the surrounding reality does not. Before the New Year, I was even sitting in an unreal engine, trying to cobble together a TRPG using ChatGPT to simplify calculations. I thought, maybe somehow those two cursed factors of mentality and environment would miraculously stop opposing each other and I'd run one, but apparently, it wasn't meant to be.
It's a shame the forum is dying like this. But what can you do?
Nothing.
Love you all, big hugs (except Heroist, he's too fat to hug). Just in case: I'm not going anywhere, I'm staying here until the HeroesWorld ship sinks completely.
