Oh, gods, the admin has added so many workarounds that now you can't access the forum without a VPN. Should I also subscribe to a VPN and pay for something out of my own pocket that I used to do out of pure enthusiasm: creating mods, gathering materials from the olden era, and so on? I think I said the opposite, that a VPN could be the reason for the IP block; perhaps the selected VPN had a lot of traffic, which is typical for public VPNs that are often used for spam campaigns.

HeroesWorld is a non-profit Community and has been supported by pure enthusiasm for over 20 years, so I can't understand the reference to a paid subscription. The site is not on the list of prohibited resources, and access problems may only be related to internet providers that, for some reason, cannot establish a stable route to the server. Unfortunately, some Russian providers are experiencing difficulties accessing European servers; this is a known issue.

The measures taken to combat bots are aimed at keeping the site online, rather than letting it die from the load created by spam bots or DDoS attacks.
