In reality, a 403 block should only trigger if the browser making the request is identified as a bot.
It's likely that the VPN might have spoofed the browser string or used addresses within a range commonly used by bots.

Nevertheless, I've updated the script, which should improve the situation for registered and logged-in users.
If cookies are enabled in the browser and the account is logged in, the mechanism should allow such users to access the site from any IP address.
