This ability is called Avenger. It allows you to choose an enemy creature, and subsequently allows you to attack it with a magical arrow (hero's shot + spell), a rain of arrows, and it also seems that the enemy takes more damage, but I'm not sure about that.
You are right, but also, if you upgrade "Sylvan Skill" in education, the "Avenger" skill can increase the chance of dealing double damage to sworn enemies. If you take "Ruthless Avenger" (4 sworn enemies), then units will deal double damage to sworn enemies with a 40% chance (+10% skill in education)! And if you also upgrade Elven Luck, the damage will increase by 4 times!!!:smile02:
