Well, actually, by the time you gather 40 knowledge points, you can already finish the game. You can only do this if you encounter an opponent who also likes to prolong the game. Otherwise, someone else will quickly defeat you, and goodbye to your plans for gaining knowledge and mini-artifacts.
You can gain knowledge without running around the map; you can buy artifacts that add knowledge (for example, there's a crown that gives +6 to knowledge)!:rolleyes: Or defeat a major enemy hero (they will have something to loot)!:rolleyes: Level up your knowledge skill, and you'll get a lot of knowledge, because the main stat for a wizard is knowledge!
