He's basically a cheater, using magic. Everyone else was fighting like men, but he was acting like a woman with witchcraft.

Watching the fight between Gauthier and Outcast from the sidelines, Cassius constantly found himself feeling contempt for the latter. He might fight well, but unlike all the other participants, he seemed to be using magic in what was supposed to be a competition for warriors. Perhaps one day there will be separate competitions for mages, but for now, it's not right for such people to compete with ordinary soldiers.
