We have five dice, which form combinations in order of seniority: a pair, two pairs, three of a kind, a straight (from 1 to 5 or from 2 to 6), a full house (a pair and three of a kind), four of a kind, and a poker hand. If everyone has a pair, the one with the highest pair wins, and if the pairs are the same, the pot is split equally.
First, you put in money just to play. Then you roll once and see what you get. You can put more money into the pot, and then the others must put in the same amount or more until everyone has the same amount or only one person remains. Or you can say that your bet is the same – that's called a "check." Or you can give up and lose only what you initially bet. Then you re-roll your dice as many times as you want. For example, if you have a pair, you can re-roll three dice, hoping to get another pair. And then everyone rolls again, or keeps their bets, or folds. And we see who has the best combination. Each time, a different player folds or raises until the round is complete.
