I only heard the other day that it's very difficult to take staged photos of cats because they are cats; they perfectly understand the commands of their bipedal masters but deliberately refuse to follow them.

I've heard something similar. And it's even harder when there are many animals. I saw a photo somewhere of a girl with about ten cats or dogs sitting in a semicircle around her, all looking at the camera. She wrote that it was incredibly difficult.
