Which level 1 creature is better?

Fairies, if they don't mind fighting Goblins, can defeat any of the aforementioned units! Otherwise, Centaurs are a good choice because of their high speed, and they can compensate for the difference in defense compared to Halberdiers with their first strike + their speed can be used tactically to outmaneuver the Halberdiers (whatever you call them). Speed is often a lifesaver in Heroes! P.S.: I also didn't specify whether the poll is for Heroes 3 or WOG. If it's WOG, then Santa and Goblins.
