What are you listening to right now?

I agree with about 90%. For the most part, covers are significantly inferior to the originals, but occasionally you can find reinterpretations that are at least as good, and sometimes even surpass the original.

This usually happens with pop music, when after a cover of some Gaga or Eilish song, you realize that it's actually a good song, even though you would never have listened to the original.
And sometimes it happens with old songs, if the recording quality is poor, like with some songs by Kino (although the sound is good at concerts). It wasn't as noticeable before, when we listened to cassettes on a tape recorder, but now it's audible.
