Honestly, I think they're kind of lame. The grails in Heroes 6 were better. In Heroes 6, where the graphics and designs were the most bland and generic in the entire series (okay, maybe after Heroes 7). I really liked the demon grail, when a fiery serpent started flying around the castle on the map, it looked super cool and impressive. The undead also had a cool, imposing pyramid top, but I don't remember the others, except maybe the dark elves had something pretty lame.
Necropolis
Appearance - not cool enough, but it's okay, one of the best grails.
Effect - a steroid version of the veil of darkness. I wonder if it's a one-time thing or if it will happen every turn. If it's every turn, it's super annoying, but not fatal. If it's a one-time thing, it's pretty lame, in my opinion. In Disciples, the undead had a fifth-level spell that did the same thing, and it was awesome - I usually used spells that restored a small area of the fog of war and cast them on my units. But in Heroes, no one uses spells on the map except for things like flying and other city portals, so there are some questions here. Unless it's to hide the movement of your main hero.
Haven
Appearance - lame.
Effect - the standard effect of any normal grail, actually. You can never have too much money, and money is good. Boring, unoriginal, but useful, damn it.
Woodland
Appearance - lame (2).
Effect - cool, but what are you going to buy troops with if all the money goes to Haven? It's not as useful a bonus as Haven's, but overall it's solid.
Aquatic
Appearance - 146% embodies what the developers have turned Olden Era into. We have the same thing in our city, standing on Soviet Square (if you're too lazy to Google: click here).
Effect - I already made a joke about this in my previous post. I don't know how powerful magic is in Olden Era, but on paper, it's as powerful as everyone's favorite northern lights.
Inferno
Appearance - the second best grail. It reminded me of the godforsaken Disciples 3. That's how bad everything is in Olden Era that I call the design, similar to something whose existence I consider an insult to the followers of Betrezen, fans of Disciples, the gaming community, people with taste, sighted people, and myself, the best. But... I love demons.
Effect - like the human one, it's unoriginal, just like a slipper, but it's useful, damn it. Extra damage is never a bad thing, and unlike money or units, you can imagine a situation where it would be difficult to use the bonus, it will always work everywhere.
Dungeon
Appearance - lame (3).
Effect - Tower, hello, didn't recognize you in disguise. If you can grab it early on, it's very cool. If it's in the middle or closer to the endgame, it's pretty lame. I wanted to ask how it would interact with the undead grail, but then I remembered that you can only have one grail.
