Yes, dear colleague. I won't hide that your actions inspired me to do the same kind of work. I'll note that in NVS many units (and heroes too) have received reworked textures. I have few vanilla ones left now. Either way, if I don't do this now, I'll do it later. Since I know my audience well enough: someone among them will find a way to write to me that you, for example, or someone else, did an upscale of creatures. And they'll ask me whether I'll do it for NVS. And yes, now I will. If this isn't a jab or criticism from you toward me, then thank you. If it's criticism, then in my defense I'll say that the idea of upscaling object and unit textures from Heroes V is nothing new. Yes, I see you wanted to do it your own way. And that's great. I'll do it my own way.Anyway, thank you. Thank you for also keeping an eye on my project.
Now about the unpleasant part.
I really screwed up when I posted comparison screenshots of three mods, namely with the screenshots of the Retexture.pak mod. For that, I apologize to justzmp and to everyone I misled.
Due to my carelessness, I placed the mod with the pak extension into UserMODs, which is why it simply didn't work, and the screenshots were of the original. I've replaced the screenshots.
Undoubtedly, there are some textures here and there with higher detail, for example, the cuts on the free cyclops. But it's 2k and without mipmaps, which makes everything shimmer and glisten. And there are bloated 2k textures. Just a recolor into mush.
Small comparison

All this came to light when I decided to check memory usage and run a micro test.
I launched the map "In Search of the Beauty", where several random level 6-7 creatures spawn in the center, timed a minute and waited without doing anything. And I ran a duel arena with an orc and a dwarf on auto-battle, also for a minute.

I don't know if this is of any use for general understanding, given the game's memory usage of up to 2 GB.
