I also think the map is interesting and great!! I've played through it about 25 times with all the Factions. The battles are interesting, and the atmosphere and landscape are top-notch.
I think the most "overpowered" location is the Island of the Yellow player!! If you rush towards the sea, you can gather a good amount of resources in the water that you clearly need (wood). You need to swim straight to the upper right city. You can make one stop at the mine if you want. Then you won't have any equals. The main thing is to do everything quickly and not waste movement points even on nice things. It will all pay off later. Why did I choose this tactic? There's a creature with 20 initiative nearby, plus a city, plus access to the Wheel of Fortune with 1000 points. It's a shame if the Orc city gives a random creature there. Then it's harder to learn the spell of reinforcements and other things. Because in the rush, there was no time for that)). It depends on the chosen Faction. In general, it's great to install the NHF new heroes mod on this map!!! It's something else. Such a mind-blowing amount of strategies and development opportunities is just Super! And what color should you start the map with? Brown is also interesting because of the access to that city and the artifact for luck nearby, and the factory across the bridge replaces 3 cities when trading.
The lower left city, for example, is like Rzhev in '42. It's a crossroads of everything. The battles were the most intense, and I somehow got stuck defending against attacks from all sides! If there's a point? You should take it)).
I haven't had such an interesting time playing through a map in Heroes for a long time. I even developed a quick way to capture the neutral city in the water. But it always turned out to be another Faction)). Maybe I'll get lucky next time. Thank you for the map. It's top-notch. Have a good game, everyone...))
